CPCAB Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills (CSK-L2)
Overview:
Our Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills is the ideal first step for anyone interested in learning how to help others through active listening, empathy, and self-awareness. Whether you’re exploring a new career or seeking personal growth, this course lays the foundation for compassionate, effective communication.

Who It’s For:
Open to everyone—no previous experience required. Perfect for those in helping professions or those curious about a counselling career.
Course Details:
- Duration: 31 weeks, attend once a week for 3.5 hours
- Guided Learning Hours (GLH): 90 hours (minimum)
- Total Qualification Time (TQT): 170 hours
- Delivery: In-person
- Assessment: Portfolio-based and tutor observation
- Accreditation: CPCAB Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills (CSK-L2)
- Fee: £1,000
- This comprises a non-refundable deposit of £225, followed by 3 instalments of £258.
- Monthly payment plans are available for greater flexibility.
- Choose between Thursday at 18.00pm to 21.15pm OR Friday 10.00am to 13.15pm
- You only need to attend one of these sessions each week. If you sign up to the Thursday course then you will only attend on Thursday for the 31 weeks.
CPCAB Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies (CST-L3)
Overview:
The Level 3 Certificate deepens your understanding of counselling theories, professional practice, and ethical responsibility. This course builds on Level 2 and prepares you for entry into practitioner training.
What You’ll Learn:
- Core counselling theories and approaches
- Ethical practice and professional boundaries
- Developing a counselling identity
- Advanced listening and reflective skills
Who It’s For:
Designed for learners who have completed a Level 2 Counselling Skills course (ideally CPCAB) and wish to continue their training journey.
Course Details:
Monthly payment plans are available for greater flexibility.
This comprises a non-refundable deposit of £225.
- Duration: 31 weeks, attend once a week for 3.5 hours
- Guided Learning Hours (GLH): 90 hours (minimum)
- Total Qualification Time (TQT): 196 hours
- Delivery: In-person
- Assessment: Portfolio, tutor assessment, written assignments
- Accreditation: CPCAB Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies (CST-L3)
- Fee: £1,371
- This comprises a non-refundable deposit of £225, followed by 3 instalments of £382.
- Monthly payment plans are available for greater flexibility.
- Choose between Monday 17.30pm to 20.45pm OR Wednesday 10am to 13.15pm
- You only need to attend one of these sessions each week. If you sign up to the Monday course then you will only attend on Monday for the 31 weeks.
Term Dates
The course is scheduled to run over six terms. Please mark the following important dates in your calendar:
(all dates are week commencing for courses beginning September 2025 and finishing June 2026)
- Term 1: 22nd September – 18th October
- October Half Term Break: Saturday 25th October – Sunday 2nd October
- Term 2: 3rd November – 15th December
- Christmas Break: Saturday 20th December – 4th January
- Term 3: 5th January – 20th February
- February Half Term Break: Saturday 21st February – Sunday 1st March
- Term 4: 2nd March – 30th March
- Easter Break: Friday 3rd April – Sunday 19th April (no lessons on 3rd April as it is Good Friday)
- Term 5: 20th April – 22nd May
- Whit Break: Saturday 23rd May – Sunday 7th June
- Term 6: 8th June – 22nd June
Attendance at all sessions is highly recommended to ensure you do not miss vital parts of the course. We expect at least an 80% attendance rate in order to pass the course.
